Fill out your Visa application form with utmost care. Every word counts here, because it will be recorded at the visa office once filled. Also, documents submitted must be clear and easy to read. You must give all essential papers, and if any of them are unavailable, you must admit it and give a valid reason. If a cover letter and an introduction letter are needed, they must be written carefully. Give a brief introduction and mention the course/s, duration, cost of your studies in terms of tuition fees, living arrangements, and funds available to cover living expenses, the outcome of the course or your future plans, etc. 

Make sure that you have made one more set of applications for your record and reference before submitting the visa application, in case you are called for an interview or for clarifications. Also, check in advance and keep the visa fees ready, as mentioned in the checklist. Most of the universities charge according to their local currency; hence, you need to check the fee amount a day or two before the appointment date and get it ready accordingly.

Because most consulates use an appointment system, make sure you are prepared well in advance or take an appointment with adequate time to prepare all of the above-mentioned items. Allow at least a month for the application to be processed; in fact, consulates advise candidates to submit the application three months before the start of the course or their intended arrival date.
